Co-founder of MooD International, Bernard is responsible for driving forward the company’s agenda for innovation and market development. The blend of strong delivery competence coupled with world-class technology has proved to be a very successful and highly competitive proposition for the company.

Prior to 1996, Bernard was Director of Marketing & Financial Services at N&P, where he was part of a successful turnaround and before that was Director of Marketing & Product Programmes at the global IT business Burroughs. He started his career with the National Health Service where, following training in behavioural psychology and group dynamics, he was responsible for clinical practice and in lecturing on human behaviour and motivation.

Bernard is married to Pam and they have 2 sons. His interests include golf, politics, cycling, historical novels and Middle Eastern red wine. He is very committed to charitable work and regularly organises fund raising events both within the company and on his own account. Bernard has a first class honours degree from Manchester University.

Co-founder of MooD International, Dick has focused on the development and proving of innovative methods and technologies for increased decision effectiveness within large and demanding organisations.

Co-founder of MooD International, Dick has focused on the development and proving of innovative methods and technologies for increased decision effectiveness within large and demanding organisations. Dick's current focus as Chief Strategy Officer combines a keen involvement in development with programme delivery across a range of corporate clients. Dick is a frequent contributor to international industry conferences and events, and the co-author of a number of patents relating to modelling methods and technologies.

Prior to 1996, Dick lectured in computer science at the University of York, managing a successful research team addressing innovative project support environments, and publishing a number of research papers and books, including Database Systems Engineering (Oxford University Press, 1987), which became a standard undergraduate text within many universities.

Dick is married to Sharon and they have three sons. His interests include bird-watching, walking, music and theatre. Dick has a first class honours degree from Leeds and a doctorate from York.

George has experience of the High Tech, Telecoms, Utilities, Distribution and Manufacturing sectors and has led significant change programmes around client engagement, solution selling, project delivery, and growth.

George joined MooD International in 2007 after leading major businesses delivering large scale Software and Services Solutions to ‘blue-chip’ customers. Based upon his experience the whole area of active risk management between Client and Supplier, and the need for transparent, insightful mechanisms to evidence business performance has become clear.

Before joining the Company, George was the Vice President and General Manager for the EMEA systems integration business of a leading computer company. George was responsible for the strategy, direction and P&L of this business, achieving an annual business plan delivering circa $1.5Bn revenue. Prior to this he led a significant professional services business in the UK, achieving benchmark performance globally.

Simon Smith, Chief Technology Officer

Simon joined MooD International in 1998 managing the software delivery team whilst assisting to promote an innovative architecture-based approach to solution development.

Simon joined MooD International in 1998 managing the software delivery team whilst assisting to promote an innovative architecture-based approach to solution development.

Simon sets the Company’s technology strategy. He works with customers and partners to progress the vision for how architecture-based technologies will be exploited in the future, and manages the company's software delivery organization to realize this strategy.

Prior to joining MooD International Simon lectured in software engineering at the University of Durham, UK, managing research and development in corporate knowledge and evolutionary software architectures. This work was funded equally by government science councils and major UK industrial partners. Simon began his career as a Research Associate at the University of York, UK where, in conjunction with researchers from Logica, he developed his interests in applying enterprise architecture methods and formal logics to achieving better business outcomes.

Robin is working with the MOD to develop solutions that will ensure the creation and maintenance of an affordable integrated training plan, delivering against the specific priorities of the defence strategy. This advanced decision support solution allows management to tune investment in capabilities and activity against the training demand – a key tool in the MOD’s drive to improve efficiency and effectiveness across all parts of the organisation.

Formerly the Director of Consulting for HP in the UK and leader of IBM's travel and transportation consulting business, Robin has spent most of his career within large IT services firms. Robin has acquired significant management expertise in a wide range of areas with a strong focus on technology-enabled change. As a consultant, Robin has twenty years experience in business change, systems integration, IT operations, IT governance and project and process management.

Robin joined MooD International in 2005 and is currently working to develop the Company's successful solutions strategy as well as working with a number of clients mainly in the defence air domain to deliver effective information management and decision support capabilities.

Jim has been instrumental in developing a market leading Outsourcing Performance Governance Solution that ensures clients and their service providers are focussed on one plan and have a shared view of contribution and achievement against the high level business outcomes.

Jim leads the management of our customers and partners in the Commercial Sector and prior to this focussed on building Salamander's Project Portfolio Governance Solution offering in the Natural Resources Sector, principally with Shell and BP.

Prior to joining MooD International Jim worked in a variety of Sales and Marketing roles and delivered major IT Transformation Programmes in the FMCG Sector. Also, whilst working for a niche Business Performance Improvement consultancy he led a major Organisational Design Consulting Programme for a UK Multiple Grocer.

Roger Hawes, Non Executive Director

As a corporate finance partner at a major commercial law firm, Roger has been involved in numerous deals and corporate advisory work over the last 25 years.

As a corporate finance partner at a major commercial law firm, Roger has been involved in numerous deals and corporate advisory work over the last 25 years. He has now changed direction, stepping back from a legal role at the coal face and is using his legal and commercial skills to assist SMEs across a wide range of sectors. He has taken on several non executive roles and most recently has been invited to join the Board of Stage Electrics, a national leader in the sale, installation and hire of lighting products. As chairman of the Bristol Debt Advice centre, he is also steering that charity through difficult waters as its funding lines are increasingly threatened.

Now a non executive director in several businesses, Roger was formerly a corporate finance partner at law firm Burges Salmon LLP for 20 years having trained at Linklaters. Roger headed up a division of Burges Salmon comprising over 100 lawyers for 5 years and regularly advised on corporate governance and on optimising and protecting corporates' contractual and intellectual capital.

Roger joined MooD International in 2009.
